I've been going to Island Empanada since they first opened in Ronkonkoma. I waited excitedly for the Rocky Point location to open, and they did not let me down. The best empanadas around, and the sweet plantains are the perfect end to a meal.
Awesome food! Oreo empanada is one of the best food creations ever, def a must try. The 5-8pm dinner special is a great deal. 3 empanadas rice/beans plantains or double rice beans with a drink for 15 bucks is pretty hard to beat nowadays. Rice and beans are some of the best ive had from a restaurant. Highly reccommended.
Island empanada is always amazing for take out but I am writing this review for their food truck! On June 25th I had island empanada cater my wedding and they were a highlight of my day. So easy to book and deal with. Everything went smooth, the food was amazing as usual. Friendly service. Fair pricing. I will use them over and over!
Family owned, the empanadas I ordered from Island Empanada were absolutely divine. The service was quick and the people were more than friendly. Their selection was large and I could tell that every empanada was prepared on-premise. The quality of the meat was superb. I go here every so often when my stomach desires something delectable. Believe me when I tell you that you will be satisfied.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful empanadas. Their sauces are fresh and delicious.
The food is very authentic, I recommend calling in ahead of time. The sofrito balls are fantastic. Their empanada list is very good as well.

( beef, chicken, Nadal beef ) Next time I go I will try the shrimp 🍤 The chicken wings in the BBQ sauce flavor. Sweet, and meaty... other flavors are available.
